Hi guys,

I have been looking at bit how we handle our own list emails, inspired by
http://pear.php.net/bugs/11352
So basically I'm replacing all the static emails with the constants we have.

Now with that in mind that other people might use pearweb for their own
projects for one reason or another and the fact we tend to just echo out
email addresses without doing any obfuscation on them but in some rare cases
we do, so my question is does anyone mind if I put obfuscation on all our
emails or should we just echo them straight out for readability for our end
users ?

note, the reason why I mention other people is the fact they might not be as
comfortable with throwing out their email addresses unprotected, even ML
ones, like we are.

I for one reckon we should obfuscate the emails, even in the RSS generators,
so what do you think ? ;-)

Regards
Helgi

Let's echo them out straight. There are plenty of mechanisms to protect
mailing lists from mails that do not come from subscribers,
i.e. protecting them from spam.

Agreed, just wanted to be sure we were all on the same page, emails on
websites can sometimes be a bit controversial.
